relation to Fluxus

[edit]

I think of the Scratch Orchestra as the British version of 'Fluxus' anyway many agree with this connection and it would be good to make it here with a link Szczels 21:48, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NY Times article

[edit]

This NY Times article on the Really Terrible Orchestera includes mention of Scratch Orchestra. [1] --Larrybob 21:54, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Finally the definitive book on the SO?

[edit]
  • John Tilbury: Cornelius Cardew: a life unfinished has a chapter on the Scratch Orchestra but the book is over 1000pp Copula 2008

Tilbury is an excellent writer so it doesn't seem so long. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Szczels (talkcontribs) 21:04, 5 December 2008 (UTC) Szczels (talk) 21:42, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Michael Parsons (ed.) 25 years from scratch: The Scratch Orchestra (London: London Musicians’ Collective, 1994) - a smallish publication I've seen but I don't have a copy of my own to refer to. If you google Michael, you'll also find a few shorter articles he's written about SO.

Footnote73 (talk) 19:45, 1 April 2013 (UTC) Excellent, I just found an online PDF - i'll add the details to the main article shortly but here it is: [2] Footnote73 (talk) 00:08, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot edit the ref list !! Please help

[edit]

Here is the info: "Exploding Cinema 1991 - 1997: culture and democracy" PhD (RCA) 2002 pp 18 - 23 (no longer online, printed copies at the British Library and Royal College of Art (RCA))

Cornelius Cardew, "[title]", The Musical Times [vol.], [issue no.] (June 1969) "The Scratch Orchestra: draft constitution" The Musical Times, Vol. 110, No. 1516, 125th Anniversary Issue. (June, 1969), pp. 617+619

If someone can help me find a page that shows how to access and edit the ref list I'd appreciate that. Szczels (talk) 21:06, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
